Swatch Vintage Collection
The SVC Rarity Index
Vintage Swatch watches exist in a unique space within watch collecting.
Produced in large numbers yet increasingly difficult to source in untouched condition, their rarity cannot be defined by production figures alone.
The SVC Rarity Index was created as a simple visual framework to express how each piece sits within our curatorial view of the vintage Swatch market.
The Scale
Accessible Vintage
An accessible entry point into original vintage Swatch collecting, with strong period charm and authentic design character.
Collector Grade
Recognized vintage models with stronger collector appeal, increasing desirability and growing difficulty in untouched condition.
Rare Find
Models with notable scarcity, limited circulation in preserved condition or stronger historical relevance within the Swatch universe.
Highly Rare
Exceptionally difficult pieces to source in authentic preserved condition and generally pursued by experienced collectors.
Museum Grade
Iconic or historically significant vintage Swatch references representing the highest level of rarity, preservation and collector importance within the SVC vision.
The SVC Rarity Index reflects the independent curatorial vision and long term experience of Swatch Vintage Collection.
It is intended as a collector oriented guideline rather than an absolute scientific classification or financial valuation tool.
Sometimes, the rarest thing of all is simply finding a watch exactly as time forgot it.
